Crafted from a sheep wool and cashmere blend, this jacket takes a quieter approach to Chinese-inspired design, letting the natural fibres, construction and subtle details take the lead.
The fabric is soft and warm while remaining beautifully lightweight. Left unlined, its construction reveals a contrasting warm caramel interior against the muted grey-taupe outer, with turned-back cuffs offering a glimpse of the colour beneath.
A softly structured stand collar references traditional Chinese dress, opening into a relaxed V at the neckline. The front is finished with a single knotted pankou-inspired closure and long tasselled ties. Dropped shoulders and a relaxed, cropped silhouette soften the structure of the wool, while a subtly stepped hem falls slightly longer at the back.
With no embroidery or elaborate decoration, the focus is instead on beautiful natural fibres, thoughtful construction and understated references to Chinese design.
