Crafted from 100% cotton, Jiu Long Embroidered Jacket draws inspiration from the richness of traditional Chinese decorative art and murals. The embroidery brings together dragons, fish, lotus flowers, waves and other auspicious motifs in a dense, colourful composition. Each element carries its own associations within Chinese visual culture, from the power and good fortune of the dragon to the lotus, often associated with purity, and fish, traditionally connected with abundance.
Its simple workwear-inspired silhouette provides a quiet backdrop to the elaborate embroidery across the back. Against the deep navy cotton, the different colours, textures and stitches reveal new details the closer you look. The silhouette itself is intentionally understated: a classic round neckline, relaxed shape and clean cotton construction allow the embroidery to remain the focus.
